Christmas 2012 - Presents!

I was very lucky and got presents from family and friends i laid everything out and this is what i got..

There is a lot there, a mixture of gifts from my mum, Mike, in-laws, friends, and my family.

Presents from Mike - Xmas morning ♥

Mike did well this year, he bought me the boots from New look which are really nice & Comfy. He also bought me Marc Jacobs Dot perfume, which i LOVE! he got me the 37ml bottle, which has a cute design. He also bought me 3 soap and glory products, Lush gift box and products. Some Lego type sets, as i just love Lego! He also gave me a desktop calendar for work, a hello kitty pen, a book light so i don't keep him awake at night. A really cool book of awesome facts... ill do some reviews on the products i have above.

Gifts from family + friends.

As you can see above i have some smellys (bubble bath, face masks, eyeshadow, bath salts) There is a polka dot quilt cover set from my mum, Owl socks, Jack Daniels set and Hello kitty set from my BFF Katy, A Queen of the house note book... because i AM queen of my house! aha. Snoopy key chain from my grandparents.

Then above on the other side of the table is More presents!!! 
Snoopy slippers from my grandparents, and bronze metal key hanger, Hello kitty mug and coaster set from our nephew, Marmite mug from my mum, Hello kitty make up bag, lip glosses, compact mirror, roll on perfume, body spray, hairbrush, body brush with shimmer, all from my 2 cousins. Then a diary and x-press nails from Katy. Money from my father in law, Nan, and a gift card from my mother in law... which is spent already so keep an eye out for the Sale shopping haul!

The sweater would look lovely with jeans or leggings, paired with riding boots. The grey court shoes would be nice for work to add the professional touch to capri pants, or a pencil skirt. The Satchel... well we all know i love satchel bags, enough said about that! ;) ♥

Christmas 2012!!

I hope you all had a very nice Christmas & spent lots of time with your families and got some lovely presents!

I spent xmas day with my family at my aunties house, my grandparents drove back from france too. It was a nice day, but made me realise that for years i have craved this type of family xmas like what i was used to when i was a kid. I know now that things change, and christmas is amazing how we normally spend it.. at home with our dogs.

I went for a classic look for xmas day, i wore a baggy pink top with a double collar, and black leggings (to allow space for xmas dinner! ;) 

 My hair accidently ended up like this, i put it in a side bun to keep a bit of a curl in it, then i ended up liking the way it was with my fringe.. looks quite vintage.

 

Our tree & presents after family had visited, there were alot more on the table, but i had opened some on christmas eve ... naughty me!

Oh MUA how you upset my bank balance..

I cant get enough of MUA, and they recently had an offer of spend a certain amount and get a free Artiste Collection Palette. Yep i was on that as quick as you can say Kapow...

The Artiste collection is really nice, such good quality eye shadows. (i used it for brown smokey eye, and oooh it looked good!)

Oooh yeah just look at it, im not sure ill use the sky blue colour, and its not 'Me' but i really like the others. Im thinking that the red liner will look nice if i add my Revlon Candy apple butter over the top of it.. ill be sure to post pictures when i do!

We decided to do a gift exchange but with a £5 limit... I love my presents!!

 

Amy bought me the Baylis and harding gingerbread shower creme, which smells sooo good!

Niki bought me the plaque which is so sweet. Im going to hang it up in the hallway once we finish it... 

I wasnt feeling well, had the start of a cold brewing and so totally forgot to take pictures of me, my outfit and any pics of me and Katy... whomp whomp!

Its that time of year again!

Collection: #NOTD Hot looks Twilight!

Yep, you guessed it!! 

I bought another Collection nail polish (Collection 2000)  this is a new colour called Twilight, and its SO nice... It costs £1.99 from boots, i bought this colour and other one in a dark Teal/bottle green called; Dusk. Both polishes are from the Hot looks 60 second quick dry range.

You literally cannot beat the quick dry range, im so clumsy when i paint my nails and whilst waving my arms around trying to dry them i usually bash the nail and smudge the polish off... but with this by the time i've painted one hand the first finger is dry. I always use Nails inc caviar quick dry top coat with this polish, and it gives it a super shiny almost Gel look.

For this #NOTD i painted all nails with Twilight  Then i painted the tip of my ring finger on both hands with Nails inc 'Nail jewellery in Burlington arcade' Then finished with the caviar quick dry top coat.

Loving this look at the moment, and i cant wait to try out Dusk (ill post pics once i try that one out)

Perfect coat for this painfully cold weather, Fur trim hood, Utility pockets which are always useful when you have two dogs, plus the cotton  lining is all stripey - Bonus! ♥

2. Element Baby Bag in 'Caramel' - £24.99 - Click
Love this little bag, its like a sack, it goes over your body with the strap of you can detach the strap. It has the one compartment which closes via a draw string plus a inner pocket (you cant lose anything in this bag!)

3. Animal Enhance top in 'Charcoal Marl' - £44.99 - Click
 I am not a bird lover.. but this season I'm loving Owls, i just cant get enough, to the point where my colleagues take pictures of Owl things and send them to me! ha ha
This tops made from Knitted yarn, its scoop neck and a nice slouchy fit. Perfect for layering up.

4.  Animal Weezer Leggings in 'Phantom' - £19.99 - Click
I love a good pair of leggings, and the have to be thick material, nothing worse than seeing someones leopard print thong shining through for all to see. Plus the waist bands a nice touch.

5. Pieces Blika round earrings in 'Gold Leaf' - £3.99 - Click
Bargain central alert... how cheap are these, plus they don't look 'cheap' either. I thought they would be a nice girly touch to a somewhat Tomboy-ish style outfit.

6. Firetrap Savel Scarf in 'Black' - £9.99 on sale - Click
I have a thing for scarves, i just like a simple plain old winter scarf. I think it is something that's ageless and you can wear with anything.

7. Rocket Dog Boots Tansy style - £43.99 on sale - Click
One thing i need desperately is a new pair of boots, these look so snug. I like pull on boots as they save time when I'm trying to dash out the door with the dogs. However these boots still look fashionable with their toggles, corduroy and faux fur trim.

I hope you like my Wish list.. ill just go and imagine I'm wearing all these lovely things :)

MUA Constellation: Libra

I caved in and bought the MUA Constellation in Libra all because MUA were having a 35% off with free postage sale!

We all know by now that i am the sale queen, so i made a cheeky purchase along side some xmas presents for my friend :) (and i wont be showing what i bought her as she reads this!)

As you can see from my photos i had a Nails inc leather effect on most of my nails, and when the embellishment came off (from when i went to their event) i decided to paint the ring finger in Black taxi from Nails inc. 

Step by Step:

1. Take off lid / funnel section and remove plastic seal inside - screw back together
2. Paint nail.
3. Whilst nail is wet pour on beads over a small dish so you don't waste any.
4. Gently pat the nail to make sure beads are secure.
5. Pour on more beads if needed.
6. wait to dry, then apply a top coat (not a quick dry as i found it discoloured the beads!

 I didn't do step 1... so there i am wet nail polish trying to tip the beads out, not working out why they wont come out!! Seriously if i had brains i would be sooooo dangerous! ;)

I think they came out really nice, although not that practical unless you have a top coat.

I think i would definitely try out the other colours like Pisces, which i think would be nice for spring time. 

This cost me £3 which is quite cheap considering you can get quite a few uses from it if you use it as an accent nail. 

They go out of stock pretty quick on the MUA store so might be worth checking your local superdrug, i know mine is having a 3 for 2 sale and these are included so you can save yourself a bit of moolah, be good little presents for friends. 

Another thing worth mentioning is that these are surprisingly easy to remove with nail varnish remover, i just held the cotton pad there for a few seconds and they just came off... a lot easier than glitter!
